The length of time you can hold your motorcycle learner licence depends on which state you’re in, but most states require a minimum learner period of approximately three months before you can progress to the next stage. Can I drive a motorcycle with a learner's licence?
To ride a motorcycle on the road, you need a motorcycle learner licence — a car learner’s licence (or even a full car licence) doesn’t allow you to ride a motorcycle.
